The NavSEO Proof Model is a decision standard, not a claim that every recommendation is certain. It separates what was observed from what was inferred and defines how a proposed action will be checked after implementation.
Observe → Verify → Interpret → Prioritize → Validate
- Observe: collect crawl data, response behavior, rendered HTML, platform reports, logs, source documents, or other relevant evidence.
- Verify: reproduce the condition on representative URLs and check for contradictory evidence.
- Interpret: separate confirmed facts from likely causes, working hypotheses, and editorial judgment.
- Prioritize: assess business relevance, impact, confidence, effort, implementation risk, and sequencing.
- Validate: define the recrawl, platform check, or outcome measurement that will show whether the condition changed.
What a proof record contains

Evidence classes
- Provider documented: an official requirement, control, limitation, or first-party metric.
- Standard semantics: what a web or Schema.org standard means, without implying ranking impact.
- Controlled research: peer-reviewed or reproducible research with stated scope and limitations.
- NavSEO observation: first-party evidence with a sample, collection date, and method.
- Working hypothesis: a plausible interpretation that still requires verification.
How NavSEO labels its assets
A method explains a repeatable process. A template supports execution. A fictional demonstration shows how a method can be applied. A research protocol defines future collection. Collected research reports actual observations. A case study reports real work and outcomes with limitations.
NavSEO currently publishes methods, templates, self-assessments, and clearly labeled demonstrations. Public client case studies, testimonials, and benchmark results will only be presented when genuine evidence and permission are available.
AI assistance and human responsibility
AI may assist research, drafting, organization, editing, pattern clustering, or hypothesis generation. AI output is not treated as proof. Material claims are checked by a human against primary sources or raw technical evidence before publication or inclusion in an audit.
NavSEO does not currently describe its audit service as fully automated or autonomous. Any future AI-assisted technical workflow must preserve the source data, human verification, limitations, and validation method behind the final recommendation.
