NavSEO Page Evidence is provided by NavSEO, owned and operated by VMCSoft Digital. Privacy and deletion questions can be sent to [email protected].

Prominent disclosure before inspection

Before its first inspection, the extension explains that it will temporarily handle the active page URL and selected website content and make one credentialed same-page refetch. Inspection begins only after the user chooses Agree and inspect this page.

The extension stores one local preference indicating that this disclosure was accepted. It does not store the inspected URL, page content, findings, or browsing history.

Website content and browsing activity handled locally

The extension temporarily reads the active page URL and selected rendered signals such as metadata, headings, links, images, structured data, and language annotations. This access is necessary to provide the user-requested page inspection.

It also makes one bounded refetch of the same page using the browser's current session. The page's own server receives that request and may process it under the website operator's privacy practices. The extension records the final status, URL, content type, and X-Robots-Tag when exposed, but does not read, export, or transmit authentication cookies to NavSEO.

Processing, storage, and exports

Analysis occurs in the browser. NavSEO and VMCSoft Digital do not receive or retain the inspected URL, page content, or generated report. If the user downloads Markdown or CSV, that file remains wherever the user chooses to save it.

Limited Use disclosure

The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

• Allowed use: page access is used only to provide and maintain the disclosed page-evidence inspection.
• Allowed transfer: inspected-page evidence is not transferred to NavSEO, VMCSoft Digital, data brokers, advertisers, or unrelated third parties. The only network action initiated by inspection is the disclosed refetch to the active page's own URL.
• Advertising: inspected-page evidence is never used for personalized, retargeted, or interest-based advertising.
• Human access: NavSEO and VMCSoft Digital personnel cannot read inspected-page evidence because the extension does not send it to them.

Optional NavSEO links

The popup contains user-initiated links for a technical review, feedback, and this privacy policy. They use fixed campaign parameters and never append the inspected page URL or report. Once opened, the NavSEO website's first-party, cookie-free site analytics described in the main NavSEO privacy policy apply to that web visit.

Permissions

• activeTab: temporary access to the page the user intentionally inspects.
• scripting: executes the packaged evidence collector in that active tab.

The extension requests no persistent host permissions.

Changes

Material changes to extension data handling will be disclosed in the extension interface before the changed practice begins, and this page will be updated.
